DAI Securities Hires Chief Investment Officer
DAI Securities LLC, a full-service independent broker-dealer and registered investment advisor that specializes in alternative investments, has hired Tim Witt as its chief investment officer.
DAI Securities LLC, a full-service independent broker-dealer and registered investment advisor that specializes in alternative investments, has hired Tim Witt as its chief investment officer.
In his new role, Witt will focus on identifying investment opportunities for clients of DAI Securities and provide consultative support to advisors affiliated with the firm.
Witt has 25 years of industry experience, with a focus on due diligence and alternative investments. Prior to joining DAI, he served as CIO of Concorde Investment Services, and before that, was a legislative director at the United States House of Representatives during the 113th Congress.
According to his LinkedIn page, he has served as a senior research analyst at Managed Asset Portfolios, a principal at alternative investment consulting firm Park Avenue Consulting, and a senior research analyst of alternative investments at Ameriprise Financial.
Witt is a member of both the Alternative & Direct Investment Securities Association (ADISA) and the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives (IPA). DAI noted that while at his former firm, ADISA recognized his contribution to the alternative investment industry by awarding that broker-dealer the association’s ACE Award (A Champion of Excellence). He has also been recognized by the Wall Street Journal as an “All-Star Analyst.”

Witt holds a bachelor’s degree from Moody Bible Institute, an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management, and FINRA Series 7, 24, 86, 87, 16, 79, 63 and 65 securities licenses.
