New Board Member for W.P. Carey, Inc.

Leading global net-lease REIT and sponsor to non-traded REITs, W.P. Carey, Inc., announced today that Jean Hoysradt has joined its board of directors.

Ms. Hoysradt has been a member of the investment committee of Carey Asset Management Corp., W.P. since 2011. Carey Asset Management Corp., W.P. is the subsidiary responsible for advising the company’s line of publicly held, non-traded REITs, Corporate Property Associates (CPA®).

Ms. Hoysradt is also Chief Investment Officer of Mousse Partners Limited, a New York based investment office. Prior to this, she served as Senior Vice President and Head of Securities Investment and Treasury at New York Life Insurance Company.

In addition to Ms. Hoysradt’s appointment, former director Francis J. Carey has been appointed as an Emeritus Director. Mr. Carey retired from the board in January having served as a board member since its founding in 1973.

As of December 31, 2013, W.P. Carey’s global investment portfolio had a combined enterprise value of approximately $15 billion.
