Forbes And Sorenson Launch New List for Top Opportunity Zone Funds and Founders

Global media giant Forbes has partnered with the Sorenson Impact Center to launch The Forbes OZ 20: Top Opportunity Zone Catalysts, a new list focused the top leaders, entrepreneurs and investors driving the new opportunity zones market.

Global media giant Forbes has partnered with the Sorenson Impact Center to launch The Forbes OZ 20: Top Opportunity Zone Catalysts, a new list focused the top leaders, entrepreneurs and investors driving the new opportunity zones market.

Sorenson Impact Center, based at the University of Utah, bills itself as a “think-and-do tank that focuses on solving social problems using data and innovation.”

The Forbes OZ 20 launches in February of 2020 and will “highlight the best investors and entrepreneurs who are creating lasting change in OZ communities across the U.S.

Every applicant will be reviewed by the leading opportunity zones experts at the Sorenson Impact Center, and 20 finalists will be highlighted by Forbes in its inaugural OZ list. The four grand prize winners will receive wide Forbes coverage and a corresponding Sorenson Impact film.

All applicants will receive a confidential “OZ Impact Score” and the 20 finalists will be given a confidential, in-depth “OZ Impact Report.”

The top 20 finalists will be announced in December 2, 2019, and the four grand prize winners will be announced at Sorenson Impact Center’s Winter Innovation Summit in February 5, 2020. Applications are open now and close August 31st.
