Oil and Gas Sponsor announces a new President

Aztec Oil & Gas, Inc. (Pink Sheets: AZGS) (Aztec), sponsor to oil and gas limited partnerships, recently announced the appointment of Jeremy G. Driver as President after a nine month search since its Board of Directors fired previous President, Waylan Johnson.
Driver replaces Fred Zeidman, who had served as interim President since the termination of Johnson on July 9, 2013. Aztec fired Johnson for cause and also filed a lawsuit against him and his separate companies alleging breach of fiduciary duty, unjust enrichment, and breach of contract, among others.
The suit was filed in the District Court of Harris County, Texas.
Driver previously served as CEO and President of Duma Energy Corporation, a public oil and gas firm. Prior to this role, he was the President for HYD Resources Corporation, a domestic subsidiary of Hyperdynamics Corporation. His undergraduate degree comes from Excelsior College and he earned his MBA from Northeastern University. Driver also served in the United States Air Force for six years and speaks Mandarin.
Aztec, owner of about 400 wells, sponsors oil and gas partnerships available through independent broker dealers and has done so since 2006. They own a 30% interest in each drilling and production partnership.
Since 2008, Aztec has focused on oil opportunities in Texas.
