Madison Capital Group, a vertically integrated real estate development and investment company, announced that it hired Ken Carpenter as its chief investment officer. Carpenter is a long-time financial services industry veteran who was first licensed with FINRA more than 30 years ago. He joins Madison from Greystone & Co., where he served as senior managing director and spearheaded the firm’s move into real estate investment management for third-party investors through the acquisition of Passco Companies in 2022.

“Ken’s extensive experience and proven track record in real estate investment management perfectly align with our vision for sustained growth and excellence,” said Madison Capital CEO Ryan Hanks. “With Ken at the helm of our investment strategy, we are poised to capitalize on new opportunities and focused on delivering solid returns for our valued partners.”

Carpenter has been involved in the acquisition, financing, and management of more than $14 billion of commercial real estate, spanning industrial, office, healthcare, retail, and multifamily properties. Throughout his career, Carpenter has held several leadership roles, including with Cantor Fitzgerald, where he oversaw the real estate investment management platform and served as president of Cantor Fitzgerald Income Trust, a non-traded real estate investment trust then known as Rodin Global Property Trust), until his resignation in 2020. He has also served as managing director for Deutsche Bank’s asset finance group and as global head of Wachovia’s structured asset finance group.

“I am honored to join Madison Capital Group, a company renowned for delivering superior results and driving innovation in real estate development and investment,” Carpenter said. “I look forward to collaborating with the team to unlock new avenues for growth and create lasting value for our investors.”
