Madison 1031 Exchange announced that the company hired Michael Crimmins as president and Cody Lewis as executive vice president.

According to the company, Crimmins brings more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate to his new position as president, including expertise in 1031 exchange transactions.

Prior to joining Madison 1031 Exchange, Crimmins founded and served as chief executive officer of CM Pacific Capital, a multi‐sponsor product distribution platform distributing “best‐in‐class” Delaware statutory trusts and real estate private placements. Prior to CM Pacific Capital, he was with KBS Capital Markets Group LLC, the broker‐dealer for KBS, a non‐traded REIT sponsor. During his tenure as CEO of KBS Capital Markets Group, Crimmins oversaw a sales and marketing organization that raised more than $6.5 billion for several offerings. According to LinkedIn, Crimmins also previously worked for AXA Distributors LLC and Alliance Capital Management.

Crimmins earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance from The University of Missouri, Columbia.

As president of Madison 1031 Exchange, the company says Crimmins will be responsible for the strategic direction of the company, as well as managing client relationships.

Lewis joins Madison 1031 with a decade of experience in the alternative investment industry, including the broker-dealer and RIA communities. Prior to joining Madison 1031 Exchange, Lewis served as vice president of sales at Orchard Securities, where he was responsible for developing and executing sales strategies amongst the IBD and RIA channels. Prior to Orchard, he spent six years at SC Distributors. He also acted as director of sales for a private equity firm focusing on the energy and real estate sectors. In his new role, Lewis will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and developing relationships with current and prospective clients.

Lewis earned a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University in business and corporate communications.

Madison 1031 Exchange LLC has structured 1031 exchanges for more than $715 million in total property value.
