Stratos Wealth Partners, one of LPL Financial’s largest affiliates with $16.5 billion in total assets, has recruited Scott Gegerson and his firm Truvium Wealth Management from Park Ave Securities, the independent broker-dealer affiliated with Guardian Life Insurance Company.
Gegerson manages approximately $120 million in brokerage and advisory assets. The transition comes as part of a succession plan with original Truvium founder and chief executive officer, Nick Palumbo, who will remain a strategic partner.
Gegerson noted that Truvium provides comprehensive wealth management and financial planning for executives, business owners and families.
“We are committed to instilling knowledge and clarity for our clients,” he said. “Only with a truly accurate sense of one’s financial situation can a person make sound choices in planning their financial future. Our partnership with Stratos Wealth Partners and LPL Financial will enable us to provide the care, experience and focus we seek to provide.
Mary Cusumano, a client services specialist, is joining Truvium as a part of the firm’s transition into independence. The team is based in Stratos’ new branch office in Garden City, New York.
