Ladenburg’s Highland Capital Acquires Certain Assets of Four Seasons Financial Group

Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc. (NYSE: LTS), a publicly-traded diversified financial services company based in Miami, Florida, announced that its subsidiary Highland Capital Brokerage has acquired certain assets of Four Seasons Financial Group.

Four Seasons Financial Group is a national distributor of annuities, life insurance, hybrid long-term care insurance and product design with a focus on the institutional market and has developed its network by recruiting and training bank and broker-dealer registered representatives nationwide. Four Seasons has selling agreements with more than 200 banks and independent broker-dealers, as well as with other firms representing more than 5,000 financial advisors.

The Ladenburg insurance and annuity platform encompasses Highland, a national brokerage firm providing comprehensive support and product solutions to financial advisors and insurance professionals, and Ladenburg Thalmann Annuity Insurance Services, a national distributor of annuity solutions for independent financial advisors.

In September of 2018, Ladenburg Thalmann Annuity Insurance Services acquired the key assets of Kestler Financial Group, an independent distribution company focused on annuities, life insurance, long-term care insurance and disability insurance.

James Sorebo, who founded Four Seasons Financial Group in 1993, will become part of the Highland management team, while the Four Seasons Financial Group team will operate from their current New Jersey office as part of Highland.

Highland Capital Brokerage provides point-of-sale support, marketing and estate and business planning techniques to financial advisors and insurance professionals. The firm’s core competencies include life insurance, annuities and long-term care. Highland delivers access to major insurance carriers, planning support, risk underwriting, and back office processing to insurance brokers, financial planners and various institutions such as banks, wirehouses, and certified public accountant firms.
