KMS Financial Services Inc., an independent advisory and brokerage firm and wholly-owned subsidiary of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc. (NYSE: LTS), has named Erinn Ford as chief executive officer to replace Eric Westberg, who will transition to the role of chairman emeritus. Ford became president of KMS in February 2018 and will continue in that position.
“Having had the pleasure and privilege of being with KMS for over 30 years, I take enormous pride in all that we have built for our financial advisors and the clients they serve,” said Westberg. “The decision to offer Erinn the CEO position was an easy one, due to her deep appreciation of our history and culture, and because of the tremendous contributions she has made to the firm over the past year as president.”
A longtime veteran of the independent financial services industry, Ford served as senior vice president of advisor relations and president of Cetera Advisors before moving to KMS. She holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 securities licenses, as well as a bachelor’s degree in speech communications from the University of Washington.
KMS had $16.4 billion in client assets and 337 investment professionals, as of December 31, 2018.
