Greenbacker Renewable Energy Company LLC, a public, non-traded limited liability company, recently announced its second quarter cash distributions. The company’s Board of Directors authorized payments of $.0016438 per share, per day on its Class A, C, and I shares.
The distributions will be paid on the first of May, June, and July to shareholders of record as of April 30, May 29, and June 30, 2105 respectively.
A $1.5 billion offering, Greenbacker seeks to acquire and monitor a diversified portfolio of income-producing renewable energy power plants and energy efficiency projects, as well as other sustainable development investments. The company has the flexibility to invest in senior debt, subordinated debt, preferred equity, and equity.
Initially, Greenbacker intends to focus on wind and solar energy projects before broadening its investments to include hydropower assets, geothermal plants, biomass and biofuel assets, combined heat and power technology assets, fuel cell assets, and other energy efficiency assets.
