LPL Financial LLC, the nation’s largest independent broker-dealer, announced that Nautica Wealth Advisors has returned to its broker-dealer and corporate RIA platforms. The advisors serve approximately $250 million in advisory and brokerage assets and join from Cetera.
Led by financial advisors Mike Lerner, Steve Lerner, and Jayne Byrne, the San Diego-based practice was formed in 2010 through the merger of two financial planning and investment management firms.
Jayne Byrne had been affiliated with LPL for 31 years and the Lerner brothers for more than a decade until 2016, when their OSJ at the time changed partners. “Returning to LPL feels like coming home…,” Byrne said.
The practice provides financial planning and wealth management services to professionals and multi-generational families. The advisors are assisted by their client service team members Gloria Ruuspakka, Rosa Volk, Kassandra Miller and Rebecca Walker.
In other LPL news, the firm recently recruited Verus Capital Partners, an enterprise firm with approximately 30 financial advisors who serve $1 billion in advisory and brokerage assets. Versus was previously affiliated with Securities America, part of the Advisor Group network of broker-dealers.
LPL Financial provides service to approximately $810 billion in brokerage and advisory assets as of September 30, 2020. The company provides proprietary technology, clearing services, practice management programs and training, and independent research to 17,168 financial advisors.
