FINRA Bars Multiple Advisors for Refusal to Provide Information
The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority has barred multiple advisors who refused to provide documents and information requested pursuant to FINRA rules.
At least three brokers have been barred this week.
Joesph Bartosiewicz, who entered the securities industry in 1980, maintained consecutive registrations through associations with various FINRA member firms. Bartosiewicz was registered with multiple brokerages over the years including, SagePoint Financial Inc. and LPL Financial LLC.
In April 2023, LPL Financial filed a Uniform Termination Notice, disclosing that Bartosiewicz had voluntarily terminated his association with LPL Financial. Although Bartosiewicz is no longer associated with a member firm, FINRA barred him for his refusal to provide information related to their investigation into his termination.
Lynn Bryant entered the securities industry in June 1999 and had been associated with LPL Financial LLC. On October 7, 2022, LPL Financial filed a Uniform Termination Notice for Securities Industry Registration (Form US), reporting Bryant’s discharge. The Form US stated that Bryant had “participated in private security transactions with clients without prior notice to or approval from Firm.” Bryant is not currently registered or associated with any FINRA member firm. However, she remains subject to FINRA’s jurisdiction and was also barred for not providing information to their investigation as she refused to appear for on-the-record testimony requested, pursuant to FINRA rules.
John C. Jacobsen first registered with FINRA in 1997. He was with Morgan Stanley from June 2009 through November 25, 2020, when the firm filed a Uniform Termination Notice for Securities Industry Registration stating that the firm had discharged Jacobsen due to “concerns that the representative submitted transactions under production numbers that were inconsistent with [an] agreement with another representative resulting in a shortfall of revenue credited to the other representative.”
According to FINRA, Jacobsen is not currently registered or associated with a FINRA member and was barred for refusing to provide documents and information requested.
