Non-Traded REIT Liquidity a Topic at the Ernst & Young Roundtables

CNL Financial Group (CNL), private investment management firm and sponsor to non-traded REITs, will have a presence at the Ernst & Young REIT CFO and Tax Director Roundtables this year.

CNL’s enterprise chief financial officer and chief operating officer, Tracy Schmidt, will discuss the recent liquidity events of non-traded REITs as well as their impact on the market.

Mr. Schmidt has been part of the CNL team since 2004 and has over 35 years of experience in finance, administration, and operations. At CNL, he directs and provides leadership for the company’s financial and administrative responsibilities.

The event, which is being held at the Orlando Ritz-Carlton from September 28-30, 2014, is made up of roundtable discussions that cover a range of industry topics. Discussions on the impact of alternative sources of capital on REITs will feature, as well as an update on tax and accounting laws.

Other panelists who will be speaking about recent non-traded REIT liquidity events include Rosemarie Thurston of Alston & Bird LLC, and Corey Schneider, of J.P. Morgan.
