IPA Elects New Board Members and Appoints Fidelity’s Bill Duffy as Chair-Elect for 2024
The Institute for Portfolio Alternatives has elected 11 new members to its board of directors, each elected to a three-year term effective Jan. 1, 2024.
In addition to naming the new directors, the board also elected Fidelity’s Bill Duffy as chair-elect for 2024. Duffy currently serves as vice president, alternative investments with Fidelity Investments. He has served as an IPA director since 2021 and as a member of the board’s Executive Committee and Defined Contribution Task Force.

New and existing IPA directors will be led by Chirag Bhavsar, co-CEO of CNL Financial Group, who will serve as the 2024 chair.

- Peter Schaffer, vice president, Avantax Wealth Management

The Institute for Portfolio Alternatives is an advocacy and education group for the non-traded alternative investment industry. The organization seeks to raise awareness of investment products with low correlation to the equity markets, which include non-traded real estate investment trusts, business development companies, interval funds and direct participation programs.
