FS Investments CEO Appointed to Innovatus Capital Advisory Board

Innovatus Capital Partners LLC, an independent adviser and portfolio management firm, has appointed Michael Forman, the chairman and chief executive officer of FS Investments, to its advisory board.

Headquartered in New York, Innovatus identifies and capitalizes on opportunities created by market volatility, distress and disruption, the company noted.

The firm’s advisory board provides counsel on investment strategy and includes chairman Bart Winokur, the former chairman and CEO of Dechert LLP, and Israel “Izzy” Englander, the founder, chairman and CEO of Millennium Management LLC.

Forman has headed FS Investments since founding it in 2007. The firm is the largest sponsor of non-traded business development companies and has $24 billion in assets under management.

Prior to co-founding FS Investments, Forman founded a private equity and real estate investment firm. He started his career as a corporate and securities lawyer after receiving his juris doctor from Rutgers School of Law. He is a member of a number of civic and charitable boards, including The Franklin Institute, Drexel University and the Philadelphia Center City District Foundation.
