Cottonwood Hires SVP of Capital Markets
CW Markets Group, a branch office of Orchard Securities, the capital markets division and wholesale distribution arm of Cottonwood Communities Inc., has hired Trey Killingsworth as senior vice president of capital markets to join its national accounts team.
In his new role, the company says Killingsworth will be responsible for maintaining key relationships with broker-dealers and registered investment advisors while working to establish new relationships on behalf of Cottonwood’s continued growth.
“Trey is well-established in the alternative investments industry. We are very excited to have him join our team,” said Eric Marlin, executive vice president. “Given his wealth of knowledge, experience and the depth of his industry associations, we believe Trey will be an integral part of helping us expand our broker dealer relationships.”
Killingsworth has spent 15 years of his 20 years in financial services directly dealing with alternative investments. Prior to his current role, he was vice president at Orchard Securities for nearly three years and vice president of Preferred Capital Securities LLC for nearly two years. Prior to Preferred Capital, Killingsworth was vice president of NorthStar Securities for five years after leaving CNL, where he was for nearly six years as an assistant vice president.
Killingsworth earned a bachelor’s degree and an executive MBA from the University of Florida and holds FINRA Series 7, 6, and 63 licenses.
