CNL Securities Hires a National Sales Manager
CNL Securities Corp. (CNL) announced yesterday that it has hired Brian Lee as its national sales manager. Lee will manage the distribution efforts of CNL’s non-traded investment products.
Currently, that includes the distribution of two non-traded REITs, CNL Growth Properties and CNL Healthcare Properties, and one BDC, Corporate Capital Trust.
Lee has 25 years experience in financial services working with broker dealers in all distribution channels. Previously, he led Invesco’s national sales efforts through the independent advisor division.
Mr. Lee holds his FINRA Series 7, 24, 51, 63 and 65 licenses.
“CNL Securities is excited to welcome Brian Lee as its national sales manager,” commented president of CNL Securities, Jeffrey R. Shafer. “He is an experienced and valuable addition to our team, and we look forward to working with him to increase awareness of our diversified platform of investment options.”
In addition, CNL’s parent company, Orlando-based CNL Capital Group, appointed two executives to new leadership positions.
Tracy Schmidt, who previously served as CNL’s chief financial officer, is now the company’s enterprise chief financial officer and chief operating officer. In his new role, Mr. Schmidt will supervise financial affairs and provide leadership to make sure the company meets its business goals.
Holly Greer, who has been part of CNL’s legal team since 2006, is now chief legal officer.
Thomas K. Sittema, CEO of CNL Financial Group, commented, “One of the things CNL has learned in its more than 40-year history is the importance of having the right people in the right place. Investment funds offer varying challenges at all points of their life cycles, and Holly has a great deal of experience and knowledge about all aspects of our business.”
Having previously served as general counsel to CNL’s non-traded REITs, Ms. Greer will now be responsible for overseeing all legal, regulatory, and compliance matters for the company.
