Ashford Securities Hires Head of Due Diligence
Ashford Securities LLC, a wholly-owned broker-dealer subsidiary of Ashford Inc. (NYSE: AINC), hires senior vice president, head of due diligence.
Ashford Securities LLC, the wholly-owned broker-dealer subsidiary of Ashford Inc. (NYSE: AINC), has hired Bart Malcom as senior vice president, head of due diligence.
In his new role, Malcom is responsible for all aspects of due diligence for Ashford’s alternative investment products. He will be involved in the analysis of offering documents, portfolio composition and performance, distribution coverage and sustainability, financial models, legal and regulatory matters, and other developments in private and public programs distributed by Ashford Securities. Malcolm will also engage with third-party due diligence firms, broker-dealer, and registered investment advisor home offices as they conduct initial and ongoing due diligence reviews of such programs.
Malcom has approximately 25 years of financial services experience across various sectors of the financial services industry.
Prior to joining Ashford, he served as a partner and head of due diligence for MBD Solutions, a managing broker-dealer for alternative investment sponsors. He previously served as head of due diligence and research for Triloma Financial Group, CNL Securities Corp., and AIG Advisor Group and was also the head of financial due diligence for The Bowman Law Firm.

Malcom’s degrees include a bachelor of business administration in finance, a master of business administration in finance from Georgia State University, and a juris doctor degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law.
