Apollo Debt Solutions BDC Appoints Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary

The board of Apollo Debt Solutions BDC, a non-traded business development company, has appointed a new chief legal officer and corporate secretary.

The board of Apollo Debt Solutions BDC, a non-traded business development company managed by a subsidiary of Apollo Global Management, has appointed Kristin Hester to serve as the fund’s chief legal officer and corporate secretary. Joseph Glatt, who held the positions since 2021, was promoted to partner in Apollo’s U.S. financial institutions group.

Hester previously served as the general counsel and assistant secretary of the fund, a position she has held since 2021. She has served as senior counsel for Apollo Global Management Inc. since 2015 and as chief legal officer for Apollo Investment Corporation, Apollo Senior Floating Rate Fund Inc., Apollo Tactical Income Fund Inc, Apollo Diversified Credit Fund, and Redding Ridge Asset Managem

According to the company, prior to joining Apollo, Hester was associated with the law firms of Dechert LLP from 2009-2015 and Clifford Chance US LLP from 2006-2009. In each case, she primarily advised U.S. registered investment companies, their investment advisers, and boards on various matters under the Investment Company Act of 1940. She holds a Juris Doctor degree from Duke University School of Law, as well as a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bucknell University.

Apollo Debt Solutions BDC’s $5 billion public offering was declared effective in October 2021. The fund has raised $1.9 billion in investor equity in its public and private offerings, as of June 2022.
