ExchangeRight, a sponsor of securitized 1031 exchange real estate offerings, has promoted Weldon Evans to national sales director.
Evans was hired by the firm in December 2019 as senior vice president to cover the eastern region, and in his new position, he will work with members of ExchangeRight’s sales team while continuing to serve the eastern region.
Prior to joining ExchangeRight, Evans served in senior positions at Preferred Apartment Communities, Waypoint Financial Group, Bank of America Capital Management, and American International Group. He currently maintains Series 6, 7, 22, 26, 63, and 65 licenses and received a Bachelor of Arts in business, management, marketing, and related support services from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
“Weldon’s leadership will greatly benefit ExchangeRight’s growth to enable us to better support the broker-dealers and RIAs whom we serve,” said Joshua Ungerecht, one of the managing partners of ExchangeRight. “We have seen a rapid increase in new selling agreements as a result of our expansion into the REIT space and the strong performance of all of ExchangeRight’s offerings in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis.”
Exchangeright has hired a number of sales team members in recent months, including Leo Peters as senior vice president of the central and western region, Bill Cerelli as senior vice president in the eastern region, and Kevin Zwick as co-director of national accounts.
ExchangeRight has more than $2.6 billion in assets under management and acquires and manages long-term, net-leased properties in the necessity-based retail and healthcare industries. The company and its affiliates oversee 675 properties totaling 14 million square feet located in 38 states.
