Cole Capital’s Busy 2014
Cole Capital (Cole), sponsor of non-traded investments, has had an active first half year according to semi-annual reports from its parent, publicly traded REIT American Realty Capital Properties, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARCP).
During the second quarter of 2014, Cole acquired over $750 million worth of real estate comprised of 134 properties, according to filings by ARCP. Through June 30, 2014, the company has purchased over $1.2 billion worth of assets.
Cole currently has three non-traded investments raising capital, which collectively raised about $1.1 billion during the first half of 2014.
The three open offerings are Cole Credit Property Trust V, Inc., Cole Corporate Office & Industrial REIT, Inc., and Cole Real Estate Income Strategy, Inc.
In addition to the three active offerings, Cole also sponsors several that are closed and not raising capital, but are acquiring properties. Through July 28, 2014, aggregated across all investments, the company has closed or has under contract about $2.64 billion.
To reach its 2014 target, Cole hopes to deploy another $2.26 billion before year’s end.
