Black Creek Group Hires Senior Vice President of Multifamily Acquisitions
Black Creek Group, a Denver-based real estate investment manager and development firm, has hired a new senior vice president of multifamily acquisitions.
Black Creek Group, a Denver-based real estate investment manager and development firm, has hired Chris Westcott as senior vice president of multifamily acquisitions. In his new role, Westcott will be responsible for expanding the company’s multifamily footprint by identifying and acquiring assets throughout the United States.
“We are excited to welcome Chris to the Black Creek Group team as he brings more than 20 years of experience within the multifamily industry,” said Raj Dhanda, Black Creek Group’s chief executive officer. “With exposure to property management, asset management and acquisitions–executing more than $1.5 billion of transactions during his career–Chris has the skill set that is needed to expand the firm’s capabilities and reach as we continue to focus on diversifying our real estate presence within the United States.”
Westcott most recently served as director of acquisitions for BMC Investments, where he assisted in developing the company’s strategy and investment thesis as it pertained to the expansion of its multifamily platform. Prior to that, he served as vice president of acquisitions for The Wolff Company where he executed more than $300 million in multifamily transactions, the company said.
Black Creek Group is a real estate investment management and development firm that manages investment offerings across the spectrum of commercial real estate – including office, industrial, retail and multifamily. The company’s investment programs include the Black Creek Diversified Property Fund, Black Creek Industrial REIT IV, and Industrial Property Trust. The firm has bought or built over $18 billion of investments over its 25-year history.
