Alts Consulting Firm XA Investments Hires Veteran to Distribute Interval Funds

Kevin Davis, CFP, joined XA Investments as a managing director and head of sales and distribution. The company – a Chicago-based alternative investments management and consulting firm – said he brings a wealth of alts expertise to bear in leading its distribution efforts in the interval fund and closed-end fund marketplace.
Davis has more than 25 years of experience in the investment management industry, with a focus on sales and distribution during that entire period. Most recently, he was a senior vice president and client strategist for BNY Mellon, where he led a team of specialists to support family offices and ultra-high-net-worth clients. Prior to that, Davis was a vice president for Fidelity’s family office services division, working again with family offices and ultra-high-net-worth clients. He also held various sales management roles at Salient Partners and Sun Life.

In his leadership role, Davis will work to distribute the company’s recently launched interval fund, the Octagon XAI CLO Income Fund, along with developing a team to support sales of future funds sponsored by the company. The firm also manages a listed closed-end fund, XAI Octagon Floating Rate & Alternative Trust (NYSE: XFLT). XFLT had $679 million in total managed assets as of May 31, 2024.
Davis earned his bachelor’s degree in communications and business administration from Trinity University. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses. He lives in Houston, Texas, with his wife and two children.
