NexPoint Securities Names Managing Director to Lead Institutional Growth. Alternative investments, NexPoint, LoPresti, Schafer Cullen Capital Management, hire

NexPoint Securities, the distribution arm of alternative investment firm NexPoint, hired Joe LoPresti as managing director of Institutional Products & Services. LoPresti joins NexPoint in this newly created role to help manage institutional demand for NexPoint’s investment offerings and ensure that ongoing product development is aligned with the needs of institutional investors.

Prior to joining NexPoint, LoPresti served as head of institutional and sub-advisory services for Schafer Cullen Capital Management, an asset management firm in New York. He previously held positions in institutional sales for Principal Asset Management, HSBC Global Asset Management, and Neuberger Berman.

LoPresti will serve as a primary contact for family offices, insurers, outsourced chief investment officers, defined benefit and defined contribution plans, endowments, foundations, healthcare, sub-advisory, consulting firms, and asset managers looking to invest across NexPoint’s product offerings.

“I am thrilled to join the firm at a time when institutional investors and allocators are looking for dynamic, nimble investment managers like NexPoint,” said LoPresti. “The firm’s unique offerings, especially within attractive areas of commercial real estate like life sciences, storage, and single-family rentals, are well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of investors, and I am eager to contribute my expertise toward continued growth in this area.”

“We are committed to delivering innovative investment solutions that thrive in diverse market conditions,” said Dustin Norris, chief product strategist and head of distribution at NexPoint. “Joe’s integration into our team helps us meet the growing demands from our institutional partners for continuous development of cutting-edge products where NexPoint has specialized expertise and relevant experience.”

LoPresti holds both a Series 7 and 63 securities licenses and a CAIA designation. He earned an undergraduate degree from Boston College and a Master of Arts in organization and leadership from Columbia University.
