Leitbox Storage Partners Hires Managing Director of Fund Strategy and Operations
Leitbox Storage Partners hires managing director of fund strategy and operations.
Leitbox Storage Partners, a self-storage investment and development firm that sponsors Regulation D private placement offerings, has hired Karen George as managing director of fund strategy and operations.
George, who has more than 15 years of experience in the investment sponsor arena, previously served as senior vice president of operations at Waypoint Residential, where she helped build out its independent broker-dealer channel, the company said. Prior to Waypoint, she served as supervising director of sales at Atlas Resources LLC and as assistant vice president of sales at Wells Real Estate Funds Inc. George began her financial services career in the research department at The Robinson- Humphrey Company LLC (now SunTrust Robinson Humphrey).
“With a unique background that blends sales, operations, strategy, and industry and product knowledge, Karen is well positioned to help us grow the Leitbox Storage platform,” said Bill Leitner, managing principal of Leitbox Portfolio Partners.
George holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Vanderbilt University and a master’s of business administration with a concentration in finance from The Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, as well as FINRA Series 7 and 24 securities licenses.
According to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, in October 2020, Leitbox launched a Reg D private placement offering, Leitbox Portfolio Partners Self Storage Fund II LLC, that seeks to raise $50 million from accredited investors.
Leitbox Storage Partners is a real estate investment company that develops and acquires self-storage, often with mixed use and retail integration, in primary and secondary markets throughout the United States.
