KKR Debuts ‘Alternatives Unlocked’ Digital Platform

KKR Debuts ‘Alternatives Unlocked’ Digital Platform. Alternative investments, tool, resource, digital platform, alternatives investing, macroeconomic, private equity, real estate, broker-dealers

Investment firm KKR has introduced KKR Alternatives Unlocked, a digital platform designed to help financial advisors and their clients better understand the alternatives investing landscape. KKR has become a major player in the retail alts channel in recent years with its non-traded REIT (KKR Real Estate Select Trust Inc.), interval fund (KKR Credit Opportunities Portfolio) and private placements.

The platform offers content for financial advisors and individual investors, including macroeconomic insights and investment perspectives, as well as educational material on private equity, infrastructure, real estate, and credit asset classes.

While 81% of financial professionals agree that offering alternative investment opportunities can differentiate them competitively, only 1.4% of the estimated $192 trillion in the wealth sector globally was allocated to alternative asset classes in 2022, the firm said, citing outside research.

Perceived inaccessibility and complexity create challenges for wider adoption by financial advisors, KKR said.

“The knowledge gap around the alternatives landscape has long served as a barrier for individuals’ access to private markets. Alternatives Unlocked was created to bridge that gap, so individuals can understand the same investments that have long been a good source of returns and diversification for institutional investors,” said Eric Mogelof, a KKR partner and head of the firm’s global client solutions.

The Alternatives Unlocked platform offers multimedia expert content – including live presentations and events – on a range of topics serving all audience levels, from the basics to complex portfolio construction.

Alternatives Unlocked is currently available to financial professionals globally, KKR said.
