Growing IBD Wants More Advisors, Hires National Director of Recruiting
Securities America announced today that Gary Bender has been appointed as first vice president and national director of recruiting.
Mr. Bender has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry and his specialties include broker-dealer acquisitions, recruiting branch offices, building business development programs, and developing national advertising campaigns.
His knowledge of recruiting strategies and strategic leadership aligns with Securities America’s long-term growth plans.
“When you pair the culture of Securities America with the practice management, technology and advisor support, it demonstrates incredible recruiting opportunities now and in the long-term.” commented Mr. Bender. “The additional benefits from the relationship with Ladenburg Thalmann augment the offerings to advisors.”
Securities America is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ladenburg Thalmann and is one of the country’s largest independent broker-dealers, having over 1,800 independent advisors.
Before teaming up with Securities America, Mr. Bender worked in executive positions at Woodbury Financial and Royal Alliance. He holds Series 7, Series 24, and Series 63 licenses.
“We are very excited to welcome Gary to an already deep and talented recruiting team. We continue to manage a robust pipeline of advisors, branches, and producer groups looking for a partner to help them grow their business and become more efficient and profitable,” said Gregg Johnson, senior vice president of branch office development and acquisitions at Securities America. He continued, “Gary’s vast industry experience and contacts will help us continue our strong growth.”
