Behringer Harvard Opportunity REIT II Changes Name

Behringer Harvard Opportunity REIT II Inc., a publicly registered non-traded real estate investment trust, has changed its name to Lightstone Value Plus Real Estate Investment Trust V Inc., according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

As previously reported by The DI Wire, Behringer Harvard Opportunity REIT II replaced its current advisor and property manager with affiliates of Lightstone Group, a national real estate investor/developer and sponsor of non-traded REITs that oversees a $2.4 billion real estate portfolio.

The REIT’s former external advisor and property manager was an affiliate of Stratera Holdings (formerly Behringer Harvard Holdings).

In other company news, the company’s annual meeting of stockholders is scheduled to take place on September 18, 2017.

Behringer Harvard Opportunity REIT II went effective in January 2008 and closed in March 2012 after raising $265 million in investor equity. The company’s portfolio is comprised of eight properties with a total investment cost of $229.2 million, according to Summit Investment Research.
