Greenbacker Renewable Energy Company LLC, a non-traded limited liability company focused on green energy investments, has reported that its monthly share value has increased between 1.8 percent and 2.6 percent, depending on the share class, between August 1st and August 31st.
Across Greenbacker’s share classes, that equates to a monthly share value increase of between $0.16 and $0.21 per share.
Greenbacker recently reported that in the second quarter of 2022, it doubled its year-over-year operating capacity; moved its largest operating asset to date into commercial operation; and set a performance efficiency record for the first half of the year, with its wind and solar portfolios producing at 99.5 percent and 96.4 percent of forecast, respectively.
The company also noted that the share value increase reflects the “positive impact” that the Inflation Reduction Act is expected to have on its portfolio in the form of wind and solar tax credits, which are intended to spur new project developments.
Class A shares increased from $8.32 per share on August 1st to $8.49 per share on August 31st, a change of $0.17 per share.
Class C shares increased from $8.13 per share on August 1st to $8.34 per share on August 31st, a change of $0.21 per share.
Class I shares increased from $8.32 per share on August 1st to $8.50 per share on August 31st, a change of $0.18 per share.
Class P-A shares increased from $8.62 per share on August 1st to $8.82 per share on August 31st, a change of $0.20 per share.
Class P-I shares increased from $8.80 per share on August 1st to $8.99 per share on August 31, 2022, a change of $0.19 per share.
Class P-D shares increased from $8.84 per share on August 1st to $9.00 per share on August 31st, a change of $0.16 per share.
Class P-T shares increased from $8.88 per share on August 1st to $9.06 per share on August 31st, a change of $0.18 per share.
Class P-S shares increased from $8.86 on August 1st to $9.05 per share on August 31st, a change of $0.19 per share.

Greenbacker Renewable Energy Company acquires and manages renewable energy and energy-related businesses and provides asset management services to renewable energy investment vehicles. The company invests in solar and wind facilities, and then sells power under long-term contract to counterparties such as utilities, municipalities, and corporations.
Greenbacker’s clean energy projects comprise nearly 2.9 gigawatts of generating capacity (including assets that are to be constructed) across 33 states, Washington, DC, Puerto Rico, and one province in Canada.
Greenbacker claims that since June 30, 2016, its renewable energy assets have produced more than 4.9 million megawatt-hours of clean energy, abating more than 3.5 million metric tons of carbon, while sustaining approximately 5,200 green jobs. The company reported that its projects have saved roughly 3.3 billion gallons of water, compared to the amount of water needed to produce the same amount of power from burning coal.
