WNC Completes 47-Unit Affordable Housing Community

National real estate investor, WNC, recently announced the completion of The Aspens, an affordable housing community located in Tulare, California.

The 47-unit community consists of two and three bedroom units. The building features several amenities such as a swimming pool, community room, children’s playground, picnic area, computer lab, and on-site laundry facilities.

WNC provided $6.4 million in low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) for the affordable housing project, developed by Kaweah Management Company and The Pacific Companies.

The Aspens is available to families with household incomes that fall between a range of 30 and 60 percent of the area’s median income.

“We are pleased to deliver The Aspens, a high quality, yet affordable housing option to the families of Tulare that are most in need,” stated Michael Gaber, WNC executive vice president and chief operating officer. “This property offers quality accommodations with many in-house and on-site amenities, and we couldn’t be happier to work with our development partners, including the Pacific Companies, the City of Tulare, the Housing Authority of Tulare County, and Rabobank to increase the nation’s supply of low-income housing,” he added.

WNC specializes in affordable housing projects.

Earlier this year, they announced the reveal of newly renovated communities located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Huntington Park, California.

Founded in 1971, WNC is a privately held national investor in real estate and community development initiatives. The California-based WNC has acquired over 1200 properties with $6 billion in real estate assets.
