Whitehall-Parker Securities CEO Passes Away at Age 65

Robert Loo, July 10, 1957 – September 20, 2022

Robert Loo, president and chief executive officer of independent broker-dealer Whitehall-Parker Securities, died on Sept. 20, 2022 at age 65.

Born Robert James YuLoo, Loo was a well-known member of the alternative investment community who was born in Woodland Hills, Ca. to Juanita and William Loo. He graduated from El Camino Real Charter High School before earning a bachelor’s degree at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.

Loo entered the securities industry in 1984 with Merrill Lynch and held subsequent positions with Prudential-Bache and Transamerica. In 2000, he purchased California-based Whitehall-Parker. Loo held FINRA 7, 24 & 63 securities licenses.

Loo is survived by his daughter, Brittny, son-in-law, Mike, and grandchild, Grady.
