Waveland Energy Partners Expands Sales Team with Two New Hires

Waveland Energy Partners LLC, a private equity investment firm focused on the upstream oil and gas industry, has expanded its sales team with two new hires.

Waveland Energy Partners LLC, a private equity investment firm focused on the upstream oil and gas industry, has expanded its sales team with the addition of William Rack Jr. as senior vice president and Colt Munchoff as vice president of business development.

Rack has more than 30 years of industry experience, and prior to joining Waveland, he was the co-founder and executive vice president of ArciTerra Group LLC and the president of ArciTerra Capital LLC, wherd he created and funded 22 private placement offerings totaling more than $150 million in equity, the company said. From 2000 to 2005, he served as senior vice president and managing director of capital markets at Cole Capital, and earlier served in a similar capacity at Laeroc Partners Inc., a Los Angeles-based real estate syndicator. Rack holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing from the University of the Pacific.

Munchoff has 25 years of industry experience and previously served as the associate vice president of the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast region for the Steadfast Companies. He has held sales positions at WealthVest Marketing, Insurance Designers of America, MetLife Investors, TransAmerica and SunAmerica. Munchoff attended the University of Arizona where he studied business administration and communications.

The company recently launched Waveland Resource Partners VI L.P., a private placement fund that seeks to raise $100 million, according to a public filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Waveland Energy Partners was founded in 2001 and participates in exploration and development activities in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and North Dakota. Since inception, the firm said that it has deployed more than $540 million through its oil and gas investment funds, with this capital raised primarily through the FINRA broker-dealer community.
