Virtua Capital Management Names Senior Vice President of Business Development

Virtua Capital Management, the capital formation arm of private equity real estate investment manager Virtua Partners, has hired Michael Roman to serve as senior vice president of business development.

Virtua Capital Management, the capital formation arm of private equity real estate investment manager Virtua Partners, has hired Michael Roman to serve as senior vice president of business development.

Roman has more than 20 years of business experience, including the creation and marketing of alternative investment products. In his new role, Roman will head up distribution for Virtua Capital Management offerings launched in the independent broker-dealer and RIA channels.

“We are undergoing immense growth at Virtua Capital Management, and the addition of Michael will only help us continue on our trajectory,” said Derek Uldricks, president of Virtua Capital Management. “As we build out our investment products, Michael will play a critical role in establishing and growing relationships with potential investors.”

Roman’s previous roles include director of national sales at MBD Solutions, executive vice president of capital markets at Megatel Capital Investment, and managing director of capital markets at Preferred Apartment Communities (NYSE: APTS). He maintains FINRA Series 7, 63 and 79 licenses with Emerson Securities.

Virtua Partners and its affiliates sponsor a number of investment funds and commercial real estate projects across the United States and currently have 16 million square feet of assets under management or development. The firm holds investments in commercial real estate, primarily hospitality and office, as well as residential properties.
