Urban Catalyst Funds Hires “Partnership Emissary” for East Coast

Urban Catalyst, a sponsor of opportunity zone funds, has hired John Napoleone as the “partnership emissary” at Urban Catalyst Funds.

Urban Catalyst, a sponsor of opportunity zone funds, has hired John Napoleone as the “partnership emissary” at Urban Catalyst Funds. In his new role, he will lead the capital raise efforts for Urban Catalyst Funds’ East Coast territory, working with “partnership advocate” Lisa Florest to manage and oversee the firm’s partnerships in the region.

“John is an established sales leader, with a proven ability to raise capital and manage relationships,” said Pisoot Senethavilay, director of strategic partnerships for Urban Catalyst Funds. “We’re thrilled to have him join our rapidly growing strategic partnerships team.”

Napoleone joins Urban Catalyst Funds from Skyway Capital Markets LLC, where he was regional vice president and advisor consultant. According to his LinkedIn page, prior to joining Skyway, he was senior vice president of sales at Madison Capital Group LLC. He has also served as regional vice president of Mid-Atlantic markets for Select Capital Corporation, vice president of business development for S2K Financial, and spent seven years as regional vice president for American Realty Capital’s Realty Capital Securities.

Napoleone holds a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University, as well as FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses.

Urban Catalyst focuses on ground-up development projects in downtown San Jose. Its first opportunity zone fund, Urban Catalyst Opportunity Fund I, closed in December 2020 after raising $131 million. Urban Catalyst Opportunity Zone Fund II is open to investors and seeks to raise $200 million.
