UMB Fund Services has hired James Curry as key account manager of distribution services. Curry has more than 20 years of experience providing account services to distribution services clients in the financial services industry.
UMB Fund Services, a division of UMB Financial Corporation, offers products and services to the fund industry, including fund administration, fund accounting, tax, investor services and transfer agency, distribution and custody.
Curry is a designated certified mutual fund specialist, and prior to joining UMB, he was an assistant vice president and key account consultant for SS&C Technologies. According to his LinkedIn profile, he served more than 75 distribution services clients and provided consulting services for new mutual fund and interval fund clients about intermediary relationships and share class structures.
“James brings unprecedented experience and knowledge of the distribution platform world that complements the team,” said Maureen Quill, executive vice president and executive director of registered funds at UMB Fund Services. “James has established himself as a pioneer in the closed-end interval fund distribution space, where UMB is already a leader in back-office services.”
Curry will join the distribution services team under direction of Karen Fay Luedtke, senior vice president and director of distribution services.
In recent UMB news, the company hired Mike Huisman as senior vice president, director of transfer agency last month.
