Ultimus Brings on Quad of Experienced Senior Vice Presidents
Ultimus Fund Solutions – an independent provider of full-service, technology-enhanced fund administration, accounting, and investor solutions – announced the addition of four senior professionals to its management team. The hires are intended to enhance critical client support functions and strategic growth areas.
“Our consistent growth enables us to attract top-tier professionals. These new team members will play a crucial role in evolving our offerings and delivering the innovative, high-touch solutions our clients expect. Their industry experience, combined with our strong principles, will drive our ongoing expansion and amplify the value we provide to both new and existing clients,” said Gary Tenkman, chief executive officer of Ultimus.
In response to the firm’s influx of new business and strategic enhancements of the company’s fund administration, distribution and middle office solutions, Ultimus said it has expanded its offerings, technology infrastructure, and human capital. The recent additions are:
- Jessica Chase, senior vice president, relationship management. With over 30 years of experience and as a former director with the Apex Group from 2019 to 2023, Chase will help oversee strategic client and trust relationships. Ultimus said that her proficiency and experience in fund administration, fund accounting, and transfer agent services will help ensure its clients are able to navigate complex fund structures and achieve their business goals. Prior to Apex, Chase spent more than 11 years at Atlantic Fund Services.
- Lance Christofferson, senior vice president, retail alternatives transfer agent. With nearly two decades of experience in fund administration and technology, Ultimus said Christofferson brings extensive knowledge in retail alternative products and will spearhead transfer agency relationships and service execution – supporting clients in navigating the complexities of these sophisticated investment vehicles. His understanding of closed-end funds, interval funds, tender offer funds, business development companies, and non-publicly traded real estate investment trusts aid his promotion of Ultimus’ retail alternative offerings. Prior to Ultimus, he was client relations manager and then director of service and control at SS&C Technologies from 2016 to 2024.
- Kerric Kynard, senior vice president, business development. With over 20 years of distribution and governance experience, Kynard’s primary focus will be helping asset managers and investment advisers interested in launching mutual funds, ETFs, and commingled funds structures. His insight into today’s regulatory and compliance landscape will prove pivotal, according to Ultimus, as managers require guidance through the intricacies of launching and scaling new investment products. Before joining Ultimus, Kynard served as senior director, relationship management with ACA Group from 2015 to 2024.
- Jennifer Myers, senior vice president, operations. Myers brings nearly 30 years of experience in financial services, including managing large fund accounting and middle office teams and leading major client conversions. Prior to Ultimus, Myers held the same title at Citi. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from The Ohio State University.
Over the summer, Ultimus debuted Ultimus Registered Alternatives Gateway, a scalable platform to launch registered alternative funds and a way to assist asset managers with launching interval funds and tender offer funds to access retail, institutional, and high-net-worth investors.
Ultimus Fund Solutions provides full-service fund administration, accounting, middle office, and investor services to support the launch and servicing of registered funds, private funds, and public plans. The company also offers structures designed for pensions, endowments, foundations, and other large institutions. The firm services more than 1,800 traditional and alternative funds.
