Triad Advisors LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc. (NYSE: LTS), has hired Michael Gatti to serve as vice president of business development. In his new role, he will lead the firm’s recruiting efforts by identifying, qualifying and onboarding top-performing independent advisors.

Prior to joining Triad, Gatti was an external registered investment adviser wholesaler at Colony NorthStar and, before that, at CNL Securities Corp. At CNL, he was a founding member of the RIA distribution team and was responsible for adding 40 RIAs to the firm’s platform, Triad noted.

From 2007 to 2013, Gatti worked in a variety of capacities at Charles Schwab & Co., beginning as a senior relationship specialist and rising to team manager, with responsibility for a group of RIAs that oversaw combined assets under management of $25 billion. He is a certified financial planner professional and holds the FINRA Series 7, 63, 9 and 10 licenses.

“Triad has enjoyed substantial growth over the years, much of which can be attributed to our success in effectively attracting hybrid advisory firms,” said Nate Stibbs, executive vice president and chief strategy officer of Triad Advisors. “Michael Gatti is an industry veteran with a broad background and consultative approach to successfully developing relationships. His addition to Triad will prove valuable as we continue our efforts to grow our firm.”

Gatti will report to Stibbs in his new role.

Headquartered in Atlanta, Triad Advisors is an independent advisory and brokerage firm as well as a multi-custodial SEC-registered investment adviser. The company provides a comprehensive platform of products, trading and technology systems, as well as customized wealth management solutions.
