Skyway Capital Markets Promotes Two in Wholesaling Division

Skyway Capital Markets LLC, a boutique investment banking, managing broker-dealer and wholesale securities distribution firm, has promoted two employees in wholesaling division.

Skyway Capital Markets LLC, a boutique investment banking, managing broker-dealer and wholesale securities distribution firm, has promoted Paul Garvin to vice president of business development, and James Teague to vice president to support the firm’s capital raising efforts.

According to his LinkedIn page, prior to joining Skyway as a vice president in 2019, Garvin served as an investment counselor with Fisher Investments. Before that, he spent nearly five years as an associate vice president and internal wholesaler at Black Creek Group, a sponsor of non-traded real estate investment trusts that was recently purchased by Ares. He has also served as an internal wholesaler at Jackson National Asset Management where he sold variable and fixed annuities, and as a registered representative at Wealth Strategies Group.

Garvin holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in real estate and marketing from the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business.

Teague, who joined Skyway as an associate in 2019, previously served as an intern at Shopoff Realty Investments and Deans Consulting, and as a summer analyst at Realty Capital Securities, according to LinkedIn. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from North Carolina State University.
