Skyway Capital Markets Hires New SVP of National Accounts

Skyway Capital Markets LLC, a boutique investment banking, managing broker-dealer and wholesale securities distribution firm, has hired a senior vice president of national accounts.

Skyway Capital Markets LLC, a boutique investment banking, managing broker-dealer and wholesale securities distribution firm, has hired Shaun O’Leary as senior vice president of national accounts.  In his new role, O’Leary will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with broker-dealers and registered investment advisors.  In addition to his role in national accounts, he will also serve to help establish Skyway’s new Atlanta office.

O’Leary spent more than 10 years at Preferred Capital Securities helping to distribute the Preferred Apartment Communities’ (NYSE:APTS) preferred stock offering which raised in excess of $2.5 billion. During his tenure at the firm, he held various roles from internal wholesaler to his most recent position as vice president of national accounts for the East Coast.

While at the firm, he reportedly helped build out and manage the internal sales desk in Atlanta, and also worked on the operational side of the business, onboarding firms and helping to establish various trading procedures.

“We are thrilled to have Shaun back on the team at Skyway Capital and believe the skills he’s developed over the last 10 years will serve us well as we look to expand and enhance our wholesale distribution platform.  He’ll also be a vital asset as we look to open up our Atlanta office,” said Mike Freeman, senior managing director.

O’Leary holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and FINRA Series 7, 66 and 24 securities licenses.
