Securities America Promotes from Within

Independent broker-dealer (IBD) and wholly owned subsidiary of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc. Securities America announced today it has promoted Greg Smith to Vice President, Supervision. 

Hired in February 2012 as Director of Sales Supervision, Smith now has responsibility for the IBD’s sales supervision functions and leading the risk management team which consists of 45 professionals that act as a support network for financial advisors and branch managers. 

Smith’s resume includes a 16-year stint with TD Ameritrade in operations, trading, and risk management leadership roles, plus another 8 years as an independent registered representative and registered investment advisor.
