SANDLAPPER Securities Appoints Chief Marketing Officer and Hires Financial Advisor
Full-service broker-dealer, SANDLAPPER Securities, LLC (SANDLAPPER), recently announced that it has appointed Marlene Arteta as Chief Marketing Officer. Ms. Arteta has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry and holds the distinction of having been SANDLAPPER’s first full-time employee.
In her new role, Ms. Arteta (pictured) will be responsible for the growth, sales, and marketing strategy of all the SANDLAPPER branded companies. In the past, she has held various positions, including Senior VP of SANDLAPPER, VP Marketing of Poinsett Capital Advisors, LLC, and VP Marketing of TIC Properties, LLC.
“Marlene brings the SANDLAPPER companies the experience and skills necessary to facilitate further growth and expansion,” said Founder and CEO of SANDLAPPER, Trevor Gordon. “I know that Marlene will continue to do great things for us in her new role.”
After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Ms. Arteta went on to earn her Master’s degree in Financial Services from DePaul University. She also holds FINRA Series 22 and 63 licenses.
In addition, SANDLAPPER has also hired financial advisor, Elizabeth “Liz” Stevens to build and customize strategies for the firm’s clients.
Ms. Stevens brings 30 years of industry experience to SANDLAPPER as well as a close relationship with Trevor Gordon, whom she hired as her assistant 20 years ago.
“I am thrilled that Liz has joined the SANDLAPPER team,” said Mr. Gordon. “Liz gave me my first real job in the financial industry and I consider her one of the people who has helped shape my success. Liz brings a tremendous amount of talent to our team and I am excited to be able to work with her again.”
A graduate of Miami University of Ohio, Ms. Stevens previously worked with Raymond James where she constructed what is thought to be the first qualitative and quantitative analysis and research system for open ended mutual funds. She has also been Senior VP of NFP Securities where she focused on sales and marketing, and once more worked with Trevor Gordon.
