Phoenix American Financial Services Hires Senior Vice President of Fund Accounting

Phoenix American Financial Services, a provider of transfer agent services for alternative investments, has hired Justin Deitrick as senior vice president of fund accounting.

In his new role, he will be responsible for leading the company’s fund accounting team and developing and maintaining a client base for this division which provides accounting, reporting and tax document production services to alternative investment funds.

Deitrick brings more than 14 years of experience in the financial services industry, and previously served as assistant vice president of fund administration at Kaufman Rossin Fund Services for 10 years until it was acquired in February 2016 by asset management firm ALPS, a subsidiary of DST Systems Inc. (NYSE: DST).

At ALPS, Deitrick headed the San Francisco office where he was responsible for managing the professional staff and acting as a resource to clients. He also managed hedge fund accounting operations and assisted with the development and implementation of departmental policies, procedures, and controls.

As reported by The DI Wire, Phoenix American has been on a hiring spree in recent months with the additions of Michael Hawn as senior sales director and Zane Doyle as chief strategy officer for business development.

Phoenix American Financial Services provides back office outsourcing, fund accounting and transfer agent services, as well as sales and marketing reporting services to fund companies in the alternative investment industry. The company was founded in 1972 and is headquartered in San Rafael, California.
