Peak Capital Solutions Hires Senior Vice President, External Wholesaler
Peak Capital Solutions, a third-party distribution platform focused on alternative investments, has hired a senior vice president and external wholesaler.
Peak Capital Solutions, a third-party distribution platform focused on alternative investments, has hired John T. Carey as senior vice president and external wholesaler. In his new position, Carey will be responsible for distributing Peak Capital’s various investments by partnering with financial advisors throughout the northeastern region of the United States.
With more than 15 years of industry experience, Carey joins Peak Capital from CLiR Capital, a boutique investment banking firm, where he raised nearly $50 million for the firm. Additionally, he helped form CLiR Capital from its predecessor, Evolv Capital Partners.
Prior to his time at CLiR Capital, Carey served as a regional vice president for SmartStop Asset Management, a position in which he was also responsible for the Northeast territory. He has also worked with Ameriprise Financial, where he developed a financial planning business which included more than 120 households, and Wells Fargo Advisors.

Carey is the latest in a series of recent hires for Peak Capital. Other new additions include Kevin Greene as senior vice president of the Southeast region; Dereck Collins as senior vice president of the West Coast area; and Ken Rapp as senior vice president of the central territory.
Carey holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both finance and business management from Pennsylvania State University – Capital College, in addition to FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses.
