Nick Detorie Joins Hamilton Point as Vice President of National Accounts

Hamilton Point Investments, a sponsor of alternative investment offerings, hired Nick Detorie to serve as vice president of national accounts.

In his new role, Detorie will be primarily responsible for maintaining existing and establishing new relationships with broker-dealer firms. Other responsibilities will include coordinating HPI responses to due diligence requests, evaluating production for broker-dealer firms, pursuing new selling agreements, attending industry events, and coordinating third-party due diligence reviews.

“Mr. Detorie is a well-known and well respected professional in the industry and he will serve as a cornerstone in our growing organization as we continue to build out our broker/dealer network and sales and marketing team to meet the increased demand for our products,” said Todd Williams, senior vice president of sales and marketing.

Detorie, who has 14 years of experience in the financial services industry, previously spent three years at Terra Capital Partners as vice president of due diligence, where he oversaw all due diligence and broker-dealer communications. Prior to Terra Capital, he served as a national accounts associate at Cohen & Steers from 2007-2013. Detorie earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of New Mexico and currently holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Hamilton Point Investments is a real estate investment company that owns and manages multifamily apartment properties. The firm invests through a series of real estate private equity investment funds and 1031 exchange DST programs. Hamilton Point has sponsored four real estate funds and seven DST offerings since 2009, acquiring more than 7,000 apartment units.
