NB Private Capital Hires Senior Vice President of National Accounts

NB Private Capital LLC, a real estate investment firm and sponsor of private placement offerings, has hired Albert Thompson as senior vice president of national accounts, where he will be responsible for all aspects of growing and servicing the firm’s participating selling partners.

With 20 years of industry experience, Thompson started his career at Van Kampen Investments and has worked as internal and external wholesaler for various wirehouse advisors in Central and Northern Florida.

Thompson has held account management positions with Hines Securities and led the national account team as director of capital markets for Ascendant Capital. He currently holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 63 and 24 registrations.

“Since our reorganization in early 2018, NBPC has grown by more than $300 million in assets and has raised close to $180 million in investor capital,” said Jason Kjellson, senior vice president and national sales manager. “Albert is going to be pivotal in helping us tell our story of transparency and risk management.”

NB Private Capital LLC, an investment firm founded by Brian Nelson – previously of Nelson Brothers Professional Real Estate – specializes in the acquisition, financing, and ownership of student housing properties. The company currently manages more than $850 million in multifamily housing real estate.
