LPL Financial Names Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Strategist

LPL Financial LLC, the nation’s largest retail investment advisory firm and independent broker-dealer, has hired John Lynch as executive vice president and chief investment strategist.

In his role, Lynch leads the LPL investment research team, which consists of 12 analysts. He is responsible for economic and market analysis, investment strategy, asset allocation, portfolio management and communicating with advisors, investors and the media.

Lynch has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. He joins LPL from Wells Fargo Private Bank, where he most recently served as senior vice president and chief investment officer for the Mid-Atlantic region.

Prior to this, he held roles that included chief equity strategist with Wells Fargo Asset Management and chief market analyst for Wachovia and Evergreen Investments.

Lynch holds a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University and a master’s degree in finance from The College of William and Mary. He is FINRA Series 7, 24 and 66 licensed and is registered through LPL Financial.
