KBS REIT III Leases New Tenants Over 10,000 Square Feet

Public, non-traded REIT KBS Real Estate Investment Trust III (KBS REIT III) recently signed a 10,469-square-foot lease at its 21-story, Class A office tower in Midtown Atlanta. The new tenants include Thrive Senior Living, a builder of assisted living and senior care facilities, and its sister company, First & Main Management, LLC.

“We value the Atlanta market and welcome our new tenant to this amenity-rich building,” said Allen Aldridge, KBS Senior Vice President.

The LEED Silver Core and Shell certified property, located at 171 17th Street, offers a wide lobby including high-end finishes, column-free floor plates, and floor-to-ceiling window lines, in addition to energy efficient features like climate control systems. Plus, tenants have access to Zipcar, a bicycle share program, electric vehicle charging stations, and a shuttle connection to locale transportation.

“We believe 171 17th Street’s top-of-the-line facilities and prime location make it an attractive landing spot for Atlanta’s top companies, including Thrive Senior Living,” added Aldridge.

171 17th Street can be found in Atlantic Station, a sustainable community that offers over one million square feet of retail and amenities such as IKEA, Dillard’s, a movie theatre, and 20 restaurants.

KBS REIT III will terminate its offering today, Friday, May 29, 2015.

As of February 20, 2015, it had accepted gross offering proceeds in excess of $1.3 billion.
