KBS REIT III Extends Lease With Cassidy Turley

KBS Real Estate Investment Trust III (KBS REIT III) recently announced the signing of a lease extension in midtown Atlanta with property management company, Cassidy Turley.

“We are not only pleased to have Cassidy Turley as a tenant, we are excited to continue our partnership with the firm in helping us to attract, as well as retain, other great companies,” commented KBS Senior VP Allen Aldridge in a statement.

The property is a Class-A office tower located at 171 17th Street and was the world’s first LEED Silver Core & Shell certified building.

The 22-story building includes a wide range of amenities such as a bicycle share program, dry cleaning, car wash, banking, conference center, electric vehicle charging stations, and an on-site café.

Through Atlantic Station’s sustainability efforts, 171 17th Street also features an energy efficient climate control system.

Built in a central location, the 25,250 square foot office tower is surrounded by several of Atlanta’s top companies and businesses. Retail stores, restaurants, banks, grocery stores, and childcare facilities are all located within the surrounding area.

“171 17th Street’s prime location and world-class amenities make it an ideal location for Atlanta’s top companies, including Wells Fargo and Arnall Golden Gregory,” added Aldridge.

According to MTS Research Advisors, KBS REIT III has raised approximately $895 million through the end of June 2014. In addition, the company owns thirteen properties with an 89% occupancy level.
