Inland Securities Continues Hiring Surge

Inland Securities Corporation has hired Robert Burke and Chad Whatley to serve as vice presidents – external wholesalers to help build relationships with current and new financial advisors. Burke is responsible for New York and New Jersey, while Whatley will focus on Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Alabama.

Burke comes to Inland Securities from Avian Capital Markets LLC, where he served as executive vice president and founding partner. According to the company, he co-founded Avian to create a more liquid and competitive secondary marketplace for non-listed REITs, BDCs and LPs.

Burke previously served as the executive vice president of platform management at Realty Capital Securities, where he led the product management and strategic sales efforts of 16 non-traded offerings overseeing 12 product managers. During his career, he has also held positions at Grubb & Ellis Securities and Citicorp Investment Services/Citi Smith Barney Bank Channel. Burke holds Series 7, 24 and 63 securities licenses.

Whatley brings more than 15 years of experience to his new position with Inland Securities. Prior to joining the Inland team, he served as regional sales director of Highland Capital Management, where he was responsible for increasing their selling group and raising capital across multiple product platforms.

Prior to his role with Highland Capital, he served as national sales manager at United Realty Advisors, where he, along with his team, more than tripled monthly sales volume, the company noted. Throughout his career, he has also held positions at AEI Capital Corp, First American Funds and Wells Real Estate Funds.

Whatley received a bachelor of business administration degree in marketing management from Georgia State University. He also holds Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.

Since February, Inland Securities has hired four external wholesalers, including Carlos Hammer, Jonathan Freeman, Jeni Middaugh, and Miguel Aguilar, and more recently, Sarita Vishakanta joined the firm as the vice president of broker-dealer relations.
