Inland Residential Properties Trust Appoints New Director

Inland Residential Properties Trust, Inc., a publicly registered non-traded real estate investment trust, appointed Meredith Mendes as a member of the board of directors to fill the vacancy created by the passing of Donald Tolva on October 9, 2016.

Mendes, an executive director and chief operating officer of Jenner & Block LLP, was unanimously appointed by the board as an independent director on November 29, 2016. She was also appointed as a member of the nominating and corporate governance committee and a member of the audit committee.

“We were deeply saddened by the passing of Don, and, on behalf of our board of directors, send our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and colleagues,” said Mitchell Sabshon, president and chief executive officer of Inland Residential Trust.

He added, “With more than 25 years of finance and commercial real estate experience, we believe Meredith will continue to uphold the same values, integrity and dedication that Don exhibited during his tenure as an independent director. We are pleased to welcome Meredith as a member of the board of directors.”

Inland Residential Trust’s board is comprised of Daniel Goodwin, director and chairman; Adrian Corbiere, independent director and nominating and corporate governance committee chair; Michael Reid, independent director and audit committee chair; and Sabshon.

She also served as an independent director on the board of directors and was a member of the financial review (formerly audit) and compensation committee of C-Line Products Inc. from 1999 to 2016.

Since 2005, Mendes has served as executive director and chief operating officer of Jenner & Block LLP, a law firm with approximately 550 attorneys and offices in Chicago, London, Los Angeles, New York and Washington, D.C. In her position, she is responsible for firm-wide operations relating to finance, facilities and real estate, technology, human resources and other support functions.

She is a magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Brown University and earned a master of business administration with a finance concentration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a juris doctor degree from Harvard Law School.
